Before using Sunlight Home Cleaning (the “Service”) operated by Sunlight Home Cleaning (“us,” “we,” or “our”), please carefully review this Agreement. By booking with Sunlight Home Cleaning, you agree to the following Terms of Service.

Sunlight Home Cleaning connects clients with reliable, professional, and experienced cleaners serving Mississauga, Oakville, and Toronto. If you have any questions about these terms, please contact us and we’ll be glad to help.

Your access to and use of the Service are contingent upon your acceptance of these terms. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, you may not use the Service.

Services

Sunlight Home Cleaning is not liable for damages caused by third-party cleaning service providers, including but not limited to property damage, theft, or personal injury. By booking through us, you release Sunlight Home Cleaning from liability for services performed by third parties.

1. Service Description

We provide access to professional, background-checked, and insured cleaners who are dependable, experienced, and trustworthy.

2. Booking

Clients may book by phone, text, or through our online booking link.

3. Availability

We do our best to accommodate preferred dates and times, but all appointments are subject to availability.

4. Payment

Payment is due upon completion of service. We accept credit/debit cards and, at our discretion, cash. A temporary hold may be placed on your card before your clean. If booking details (bedrooms, bathrooms, square footage) are inaccurate, your fee may be adjusted. Clients are responsible for paying any outstanding balances.

5. Pricing

Rates may be reviewed annually to keep up with inflation. We will notify you in advance of any changes. Prices will never increase without your consent.

6. Cancellation & Rescheduling

Because cleaners set aside time specifically for you, cancellations or reschedules must be made by 12:00 p.m. the day prior to your appointment. Otherwise, a $50 fee will apply. This fee also applies if the cleaner cannot access your home.

7. Arrival Window

Cleaners have a one-hour arrival window due to traffic, parking, and setup. We will notify you of any changes.

8. Property Access

Clients must provide access to the property at the scheduled time. Alternate access arrangements should be communicated in advance.

9. Service Limitations

Cleaners do not:

  • Wet-wipe lightbulbs

  • Perform upholstery cleaning

  • Remove biohazards (animal/human waste, insects, mold)

  • Move heavy furniture or large items

  • Dispose of large amounts of trash

  • Work at unsafe heights or use client-provided ladders

Running water and electricity are required for all services. A small number of dishes (up to 10 items) will be cleaned; more than this is considered an add-on.

We expect mutual respect between clients and cleaners at all times.

10. Supplies & Equipment

Our team provides cleaning products and equipment. If you have specific product requests, let us know in advance. In some cases, you may be asked to provide specialty items.

11. After Cleaning

If you are dissatisfied, please contact us within 24 hours so we can resolve the issue. We may offer a re-clean within five (5) days or provide a partial discount. If we do not hear back within three (3) days of our resolution offer, we will consider the matter closed.

12. Client Responsibilities – Communication

Clear instructions and requests should be shared before or during the clean to ensure the best results.

13. Client Responsibilities – Property Condition

Clients should notify us of fragile or damaged items and store valuables before the clean. We cannot be responsible for pre-existing damage or surfaces not properly sealed.

Cleaners may decline to clean areas that are unsafe, excessively cluttered, or present biohazard risks.

14. Follow-Up

We may follow up after your first few appointments to check in. For recurring services, clients are always welcome to contact us with feedback.

15. Confidentiality

16. Feedback

We welcome feedback and use it to improve our services.

17. Updates

This policy may be updated from time to time. Clients will be informed of significant changes in advance.
